Slim lines combined with a variety of finishes make KLIMAT’s Airview Louvres an architectural feature for your home. Contemporary colours combined with a stylish bladeholder and easy to use opening mechanism make Airview Louvres the perfect choice.
Frame Options
The Airview Louvre can be purchased as a prefabricated window (Airview Louvre Window) or as a Kitset (Airview Louvre Kitset) and fitted into a large number of framing systems or reveals.
The Airview Louvre Window utilises the Airview Frame (100mm frame) which is designed to easily couple with Lidco's diverse range of 100mm framing systems. The Airview Louvre Window can also be fitted into a timber reveal for direct installation onsite.
The Airview Louvre Kitset contains everything necessary to allow straightforward assembly into a frame of your choice. The Kitset comes with a preassembled mechanism and optional extras such as weather bars, a range of mullions security bards, etc. Installation of the Airview Louvre Kitset is straightforward and does not require any specialised equipment or technical knowledge.
Choice of Blades
With Airview Louvres you have the choice of blade material depending on the design requirements and level of privacy of your project. Float and toughened glass are commonly used and there is also the option of using cedar timber or aluminium blades.
KLIMAT supply both the timber and aluminium blades, while the glass blades are supplied via a third party of your choosing.
Glass Louvre blades are 6mm thick and come in 152mm and 102mm widths Aluminium blades are available in both 6mm (152mm and 102mm widths) and 14mm thickness (152mm width only) Timber blades are 14mm thick and come in both 152mm and 102mm widths
Choice of Clips
The standard 6mm clip is used for the glass and 6mm thick aluminium blades. There is also the option of 14mm clips for the timber and 14mm thick aluminium blades.
Blade adaptors are used to allow a 14mm blade to fit into the standard 6mm clip.
Airview Louvre clips are UV stabilised and come in black, grey or white finishes.
Control Options
The standard handle is ideal for easy to reach applications. Like the clips all handles are made from UV stabilised materials to prevent premature ageing.
For hard to reach applications the Map Hook Adaptor with pole and hook is ideal.
The Airview Louvre can also be operated remotely by fitting the Remote Control Adaptor and using a mechanical system (sold separately).
For improved ergonomics there is the Torsion Bar Adaptor with Torsion Bar which controls both sides of the gallery providing additional leverage.
Mullions
There are various choices of mullions to cover almost every wind condition.
The Standard Mullion is the jamb from the Airview Frame and incorporates the flyscreen reveals. Depending on the wind rating for your project there are other mullion options available as well. Please see the Product Manual for details on appropriate mullions.
Screening
Insect and safety screens can be easily integrated into the Airview Frame, eliminating the unsightly look of attached screen systems.
When the Airview Louvre Window is chosen the screen is integral with the frame. The removal of the screen for cleaning is quick and simple.
Increased Security
While louvres in the closed position cannot be opened from outside, there are some other options to increase the security even further.
Barrier bars can be installed into the Airview Frame and can be finished to match the louvre’s framing.
There is also the option of locking each louvre control mechanism for increased security with a self locking keyed lock.
